How It Works

Three Steps. Done.

The Toilet Bowl Flange Remover works with any standard drill. No special tools, no guesswork.

1
Position the Tool
Set the Flange Remover into the toilet bowl flange opening. The tool seats flush against the pipe — no measuring, no guessing.
2
Attach Your Drill
Chuck the 7/16" hex shank into any standard drill. Apply steady forward pressure and let the tool do the work.
3
Flange Removed. Pipe Intact.
The flange comes out clean with no damage to the Schedule 40 or ABS pipe. Install the new flange and move on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Toilet Bowl Flange Remover — FAQ

Everything you need to know before you buy.

What size do I need — 3" or 4"? +

Match the tool to the flange size. Most residential toilet flanges are 4" — that's the opening diameter of the flange that sits inside the drain pipe. The 3" version fits older or smaller installations. If you're unsure, measure the inside diameter of the existing flange before ordering.

What type of pipe is it compatible with? +

The Toilet Bowl Flange Remover is designed for Schedule 40 PVC and ABS pipe. It is not compatible with Schedule 80 pipe due to its thicker wall construction. If you're working on a commercial installation with Schedule 80, this tool is not the right fit.

What drill do I need? +

Any standard cordless or corded drill will work. The tool has a 7/16" hex shank that fits any standard drill chuck. No special drill or adapter needed.

Will it damage the pipe? +

No — that's the whole point. The Flange Remover is engineered to remove the cast-in flange without cutting, cracking, or damaging the surrounding pipe. The pipe stays intact and is ready for a new flange installation immediately after.

Does it work on cast iron flanges? +

The tool is designed for plastic flanges cast into PVC or ABS pipe. It is not intended for cast iron flange removal, which requires different tooling.

Is there a warranty? +

Yes. All Pinell Tools products come with a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If something goes wrong, contact us directly and we'll make it right.
